Tolam's Foundation
In loving memory...
Mia, the sweet girl that started it all...
She was my first show bitch and the matriarch of Tolam Great Danes.
She was co-bred by Donna Parker of
Don-Par Great Danes & Wendy Kellenberger of
ABW Great Danes . I am forever thankful to Donna for entrusting this beautiful girl into
my care. When I first got Mia, I was thrilled to have this lovely bitch that heralded from
such impressive bloodlines for my first show dane; Riverwood, BMW, BAK, Liberte. I
was blessed to have shared my life with her. Mia had three litters and produced lovely
puppies that continue to carry on her quality, lovely breed type, sweet temperament and
excellent pedigree into future generations. I am left brokenhearted because she was
my baby girl, my angel, and she was taken from this world much too soon. She was
only 7 years old when she succumbed to complications from an unexpected illness.

Duncan is the male I kept from my first litter. Mia had
only two puppies in that litter, and while I had not
intended to keep a non-show marked puppy, his
structure was so wonderful that I couldn't let him go.
All these years later, I am so glad I kept him because
of his handsome, strong and elegant structure and
sweet temperament, despite his color. Duncan sired
several of our beautiful litters in his short time as a
stud and from that we have kept and co-owned some
of his lovely offspring. He has proven to produce
show marked harlequin, show marked mantle, and
black pups as well as other "pet" colors. His nicest
attributes were always his sweet temperament,
smooth floating gait, correct scissor bite, dark almond
eyes glowing with warmth and intelligence, nice level
topline and good front & rear angles. Duncan's OFA
Hip rating is; "Good" and his EKG Cardio screening;
"Normal". Duncan is pictured here from 14 months to
3 & 1/2 years. He is retired, however, I do have
Duncan's frozen semen in storage, as I hope to see
more of his beautiful puppies again in the future.
