I always love to get pictures & updates from the wonderful people who have given my pups loving 'forever' homes.
Here are just some of the puppies that have gone to live with their new families. I will add more new pictures as I
get the chance, and starting this year, I will be including "testimonials"...just some of the nice comments from my
extended family of puppy owners. I have received some of the nicest compliments and glowing remarks from my
puppy owners over the years. They're all truly happy with their Danes...and that makes
me happy!!

From Cooper & Leroy's owner:
Amy,

So we had a great time at the Rally show on Saturday! We did two runs and qualified both times with scores of 196 (out of a
possible 210). We also got two second place ribbons (there were only two pups in our class, but oh well). Everyone also
"oohed" and "ahhed" over the both of them all day. I attached some pictures from the day (I am waiting for others to send me
some more) and have definitely gotten bitten by the show bug! I came home and started looking for where we can go for the
next show. It's looking like we may have to travel to NY again for a puppy class tho. Oh, and I also finally got thru to Leroy
with the stand-stay. Apparently I just needed to share my cheerios, lol. So instead of sitting for a cheerio I made him stand
and wait for it. Guess I just had to use something I didn't already train with.

From Justice's owner:
Hi Amy,
I hope that all is going well with
you.  We just took this picture of
our daughter, Violet, and Justice by
the fire.  He's doing really well and
at his last visit (a couple of weeks
ago) he was 80 lbs.  We all went to
Watertown NY last weekend (a 6.5
hour road-trip) to see Scott's little
brother, who is at the Army base,
Ft Drum.  Justice was so great on
the trip, in the hotel, and hanging
out with the entire family.
Everyone commented on how
beautiful and well-behaved he
was.  He really is such a joy!

Best wishes,
Valerie & Scott (and Justice too)!

Bella at 9 weeks snoozing with her new friend Roxsie.
Bella is deaf but was given a wonderful home where
she's learning from both her new owner and Roxsie too...

Cooper's mom & dad
loved him so much they
got him a new "little
brother"...Leroy, from
Luna's 04/12/09 litter!

Hi Amy:

Just wanted to give you an update on Bella - she's doing great!!
She's a wild woman from 7 - 9 p.m. getting into whatever she
can but she's so funny!!  We love her to death.  Roxsie has a
good time with her too - although sometimes I think she has
enough of her - she's always hanging off of Roxsie and now
she's tall enough that she hang over Roxsie's back as Roxsie
walks and she walks and bites her - still very cute to watch.
Bella just finished puppy kindergarten a week ago - 5 week
class.  She did ok.  I got a recall across the room from her - once
I get her attention.  She knows sit, down, and come for
commands - as well as a lot of no's.  Also knows sign to eat and
potty....so I think we're doing good.  In another month or so, I'll
take her to beginner obedience.
Hope you had a good summer - what there was of it!!  So much
rain...
Last week, Bella went on her first camping trip.  We went to the
White Mtns in New Hampshire.  Little crazy with 2 dogs - but
they did great.  They sure get a lot of attention.  Everyone stops
to see and pet them.  Roxsie loves that attention.
Take care and I'll be in touch.
Thanks for my baby!!!

From Moxie's (deaf white pup) owner:
Hi Amy,
I am finally getting some pictures to you.
Moxie is doing great. We completed her
Basic Manners class and she knows about
15 signs. She is continuing to learn more and
now relies on them. She has seen her
brother Leroy (Nicole's pup) twice now.
They had a two hour play date yesterday in
the indoor arena at Greenlock. Hope all is
well with you and that you enjoy the pictures.
Thanks,
Kathy

* Just a note regarding the two deaf white pups...it is obviously not my intention, nor the intention of any
other good breeder, to produce white pups...but on occasion they do show up in harlequin breeding, just
like any other pet color, though less often. Many breeders euthanize deaf pups since appropriate homes
for them can be hard to find but I have been
very lucky to find such wonderful homes for my deaf
pups...and it makes me so happy to see them living happy, "as normal as can be" lives.  :-)

Hi Amy,

I just wanted to pass along a compliment to you. I had a dog
trainer come over this afternoon to work on some good habits
for Humphrey (AND ME!) The trainer Bari, works exclusively
with large or giant dogs (she breeds Newfies and brought one
for our lesson) and she said (and said to tell you) how
impressed she is with Humphrey. She said "Clearly this
breeder respects the breed and raises her dogs with love."
She was also very pleased to see the progress Lawrence and
I have made in 2 weeks. Thought you would enjoy a third party
review!
We are having a wonderful time, and Humphrey truly is a joy.
Going for some vaccinations tomorrow.
Will keep you posted. He is growing like a weed. I will try to
take some new photos to send. I hope you are well!

Michelle

Another e-mail from Humphrey's owner:
Hi Amy!

Yes Humphrey is doing well, and getting big! He is 45 pounds
now, and has just had his final round of vaccinations. We are
still working on walks and training, but he continues to be the
life of the party in our neighborhood. I have a steady stream of
kids knocking at the door wanting to play with him and walk
him, and on Saturday, 7 kids gave him a bath in the backyard -
it was hilarious! He is also signed up for puppy kindergarten,
beginning mid September.
These pictures are from last week. You will notice we let his
ears go. He was so agitated, and trying to rip the binding off in
the grill of his crate, he was making himself crazy. After a few
weeks of this, we took off the binding to give his ears a break,
and he just perked right up. Lawrence decided his floppy ears
suited his personality, and that we should not keep them up. All
in all, I think he is happier, and he looks very sweet. I hope you
don't mind!
Humphrey met a 4 year old Great Dane last week named
Tango. He is a 155 pound Blue, who just finished 7 weeks of
shows. He was very sweet, and Humphrey loved racing back
and forth under his belly. The owner loved H and said that he
had "far superior" bone structure to his own dog, and that we
should expect Humphrey may grow to be even bigger than
Tango! It didn’t seem possible, looking at how small Humph was
in comparison!
Hope you can enjoy the tail end of your summer, and thanks
for keeping in touch! I look forward to visiting your site to see
all the photos!!!

Bella (Jag x Luna '09)
Pictured at 9 weeks. She has a little grey heart on
her shoulder...an outward sign of her love for sure! :-)
From Ben's owner:
Ben is doing wonderful! He's happy as a puppy could be.
He's found a favorite spot in the house and it's the couch of
course... he's so stinkin cute!
He's so sweet and he's really loveable.  He loves to cuddle
and be close to us. He likes to play with Bella and our little
dogs and he follows me around all day.
I'm amazed at how good natured he is. Just a breeze!
I have lots of great pics and I'll attach some to this email. I put
my cord to down load pics from my camera somewhere, I
can't find it. But I'll send pics to you of what I have already
down loaded.
Kathy and I have taken some really great pics of him while
we've been training, but darn it! It's on my camera and I've got
to find that cord.
Anyway, he's making really great progress and I'll get more
pics to you as soon as I can.
Talk to you soon!
