My name is Amy Hatol and I raise quality harlequin and mantle Great Danes of sound mind and body for both
show and companionship. My Danes are raised with love in our home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. They are
considered part of the family, and I feel blessed to have them as a part of my life.
When I bought my first Dane in 2001, I found a fawn breeder and exhibitor who happened to live across town from
me and she became my first mentor, introducing me to the world of showing and breeding conscientiously. That
got me started in the show ring long before I ever bred my first litter. She also prompted me to join the regional
Great Dane club, of which I am still a member. I will always be thankful for the honest knowledge and kind
guidance she offered to me. I started out with a harlequin male (who was shown but never bred) but it was not
long before I purchased my sweet mantle girl, Mia, who eventually came to be the foundation of my breeding.
From that point on, my desire has only strengthened to be a part of maintaining this beautiful and noble breed. In
the time I have spent raising and showing Great Danes, I have developed friendships and networks with many
reputable breeders and exhibitors who are involved in showing and breeding harlequin and mantle Great Danes.
They have all, in their own ways, been a wonderful influence and a fountain of knowledge to guide me in the right
direction. I have learned from my experiences with them and I hold the best interests of my Danes and pups at
heart, as I am responsible for them and truly care about them.
Breeding sparingly and conscientiously, since my first litter back in 2004 to the present, I have consistently
produced Danes that are not only wonderful, loving pets, but also healthy, intelligent and fully capable of doing
whatever it is that they are trained to do, whether it is showing, obedience, rally, therapy, service dog, etc.. I
always focus on good health and temperament, correct conformation, longevity and breed type. Danes from my
breeding not only look the way Great Danes should look, but also act the way they should too, with sweet
temperaments and the ability to perform. I am proud to say that from my breeding, I have produced dogs that
have been or are now shown in both the AKC and CKC show rings, are certified therapy dogs (and dogs who are
not formally certified, though do therapy work), and obedience and rally competitors/title holders. I keep my
standards high and my goal is to breed for improvement in each generation and to consistently produce pups of
exceptional quality that will grow to be show dogs or simply become a cherished family member for years to come.
I take my commitment to quality and preserving the breed standard very seriously. Just as I was given support
when I started, I will always offer my knowledge, experience and support to those who acquire pups from me so
they may have the best experience possible with their Dane.
